Lehry Pitching

Believe it or not, baseball fever is in full swing somewhere in the world. The Caribbean Series is taking place in the Dominican Republic. There's not much action in the way of Brewers playing, but former Brewers reliever Justin Lehr (pictured) pitched yesterday. Fans may remember him as the guy who, with Nelson Cruz, was brought to Milwaukee via the Keith Ginter swap with the A's in 2005.

Lehr, who pitches for the Mexican Yaquis, surrended five runs in a mere third inning of work against Venezuela's Tigres de Aragua.

Since posting an ERA of 8.62 in 15.2 innings of work for the Brew Crew in 2006, Lehr spent last season in the Reds minor league system and is now in the Mariners organization.

Lehr seems to stink internationally, Ginter never lived up to his moderately respectable '04, and Cruz (beyond being a piece in the Mench/Coco/Nix deal with the Rangers) failed expectations... tremendously.

Looking back, maybe the Ginter deal wasn't so lopsided after all.
