Let me preface this with I didn't have the hatred for kendall that most other brewer fans had. I felt he helped the young pitchers on the staff, which I think was the main reason he was brought in.

That said, I'm fine he signed with the royals. The brewers apparently did ask him if he'd come back for 2 million a year and he didn't bite. He didn't seem interested at all. He was convinced he was worth 5 million, so when the Brewers signed Zaun, Kendall realized he wasn't going to get much more than that.

The royals got a good defensive catcher that doesn't hit much worse than their current catcher (John Buck) and should help their pitchers. The Brewers got a good stop-gap catcher because by next year, Lucroy or Salome (or both) should be major league ready. Plus, Zaun would give up playing time if another catcher gets hot. Kendall would basically demand to play everyday even if he didn't hit for 21 games. It's a very small win for both teams.

Kendall signs a 2 year/$6 million dollar deal with the Royals which pays him $2.25 million the first year. The Brewers sign Greg Zaun for $2.15 million for 1 year. I don't know...but I think I'd rather had have Kendall back at that price. So would the 104 people who bought Kendall jersey shirts.

We'll have to wait and see about the Randy Wolf signing. Yea, his career numbers are better than Suppans, but that's like saying that Zaun has power because he hit more home runs than Kendall last year.

Great! This means I have an excuse to get my wolf tattoo of a howling wolf inside a dream catcher on my thigh.

Looking at what was available out there...Milwaukee came out a winner. They knew they weren't going to get Lackey, so Randy Wolf was the next best option. Rich Harden was the third best and he was snatched up quickly by the Rangers. If you ask me, the Rangers got a steal by landing him for a 1 year deal @ 7MM.

The funniest thing I have heard coming out of the Indy this week...Ben Sheets looking to land a 12MM contract. Laughable. I also chuckled when I heard Kendall was asking for a 5MM.

Wolf is by far the better signing.... why did we waste money on something that wasnt necessarilly broken... I hate the Hawkins deal... especially a 2 year deal.... not happy not happy at all... we need more starting pitching not relief what does relief pitching matter when your down 7-2
