Sorry, not stupid. It doesn’t make sense not to want someone to break it because they aren’t “good”…as Kade stated. He obviously is good. If he breaks the record or even comes close, that shows he’s even that much better. Like I said above, I think Zimmerman will be one of the best 3B for a long time. It’s just too bad I didn’t listen to my gut on fantasy draft day. I wouldn’t be stuck with terrible Garrett Atkins.

If he gets it, obviously he’s good enough. 30 games is no fluke and for you to suggest otherwise is…stupid. That logic makes no sense. He can hit.

How did the record even come into this conversation anyway? I certainly mentioned nothing about the record. I simply said I was rooting for him. He won’t even come close to DiMaggio.

Molitor’s streak hit 39. There’s no way I’ll be cheering for Zimmerman if he gets to 38 (which is the number that Rollins ended up at in 2006).

Zimmerman might be good, but he’s no DiMaggio. I agree with Kade. I’d rather he not break the record. (And he won’t anyway…)

Zimmerman hasn’t been good in his young career because of injuries. He’s actually a very good player. As long as he stays healthy, he’ll be a top 3B in the league.

I on the other hand dont want Zimmerman to get it.. maybe if he was a better player i was cheering when utley was going for it… Zimmerman just isn’t a good enough player to have such a great record.
