#@%!

R U SRS?
The news just broke that SP Yovani Gallardo has torn his ACL as a result of the collision yesterday. He is likely out the remainder of the season.
This all could have been avoided if Reed Johnson didn't slide head first into the bag like a douche. Then again, it's Reed "Doucher" Johnson. Can you really expect anything different from this bush, hack?

Hard feelings aside, you can see this is brutal news for the Brewers. Baseball is a long, grinding season and injuries are inevitable...but this is a disaster. Nothing can derail a playoff push like a top starter hanging it up in May.
And maybe the worst part of it all - this makes it more likely that we will have to watch Jeff Weaver in the Brewer uni's sometime this year.

Did I mention that Reed Johnson is a douche, bush hack?

So an accidental injury is Reed Johnson's fault? I'm anti Cubs, but to say you're reaching on this one is an understatement. The guy was playing all out trying to get on base. You write like he's the first person in MLB history to slide head first into first base.

I thought this was his injury while watching the game, but then he stayed in, so I didn't really worry much about it. This is nearly as bad as losing Sheets, and it's quite likely he'll miss extended time during the season. I hate to have no faith, but you can almost look on to next year. Horrible news.

P.S. Todd, you've never met Johnny Rivers. Ha. He's right though Riv. This is no fault of Reed Johnson's at all.

I concur....Reed is a dueche-nut. He is on the list, near the top, just under Wes Helms.
We are in trouble. This changes the landscape of future plans for the team. Do we hit the panic button and go after someone before the trade deadline? Let's face it...Sheets will get hurt this season, thus leaving Suppan to lead this young rotation. Weaver is not the answer, not even his blond-hair locks can convince me otherwise.

My posts should be read with a grain of salt. Obviously, I know that Gallardo's injury isn't the fault of Reed Johnson's. But I am still pissed at the fact that a hack player like Johnson just took out a top 30 pitcher for the year. And at what cost? If Johnson averts Fielder's tag, and is safe at first...is he still not Reed Johnson?

Yeah. It's just anger. When the play happened, I was actually kinda peaved at Prince for not tossing the ball to Yo. I think that would have avoided the injury too, but Prince got the out, and you can't really look at it that way. Fingers crossed all around.

As mentioned to get this news today was a shock. Yo was looking great, start after start. To say this is as big as losing Sheets is no understatement.

Making a move before the trade deadline is a valid point...I think that's the only bright light for something like this to have transpired so early in the year.

The pressure that's now put on an already vulnerable pitching staff is looming and I truly hope this doesn't affect the team too much.

Heartbreaking for the team and the fans...
