Bush Votes to Sign on Super Tuesday

Dave Bush reached a one-year agreement with the Brewers on Tuesday, thus avoiding an arbitration hearing. Though it looks as if he won't be getting the 3 million large he requested, he'll still garner at least the 2.4 million Milwaukee offered.

As a Dave Bush backer, this is expected - yet good news to know a February 15 hearing is being evaded by Melvin and Company. This also solidifies Bush's salary, setting the final uncertain facet of his value to potential trade partners, though i'd much prefer to ditch Vargas.

J.J. Hardy is the sole Brewer yet to sign. Should he and the Brewers not reach an agreement, his arbitration hearing will take place on February 18. The Brewers have avoided arbitration hearings in each year of the Melvin administration, and the 18th is still pretty far away. With Bush budging, I'd imagine Hardy is soon to follow.

In an effort to keep actual Brewers news a top for a bit, I thought i'd slap a Scott Podsednik update:

The Rockies signed him to a minor league deal w/ Spring Training invite worth 700K(if he makes the 25 man roster) about 13K/Month in the minors if he doesn't. I expect him to make the team.

Best of luck, Pods!

I don't know if html works in the comments. But here's the link:
